Figure
General-purpose humanoid robots for the real world
About Figure
Figure is building general-purpose humanoid robots designed to work alongside humans in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and logistics operations. Founded by Brett Adcock (who previously founded Archer Aviation), Figure has attracted investment from Jeff Bezos, Microsoft, NVIDIA, OpenAI, and Intel.
Figure's robots combine advanced AI perception (powered by an OpenAI partnership for language understanding and reasoning) with dexterous manipulation and bipedal locomotion. The Figure 02 robot can see, hear, speak, and manipulate objects in unstructured environments — a dramatic leap from traditional industrial robots that operate in controlled, fenced-off areas.
The company has deployed robots at BMW's manufacturing facility in South Carolina, marking one of the first commercial deployments of humanoid robots in automotive manufacturing. Figure represents a massive market opportunity: if humanoid robots can reliably perform physical labor, the addressable market encompasses most of the $50+ trillion global labor market.
