Nuro
Autonomous delivery for everyday life
About Nuro
Nuro builds purpose-designed autonomous vehicles for local goods delivery. Unlike robotaxi companies that retrofit passenger vehicles, Nuro designed a compact, occupant-free vehicle from scratch specifically for delivering groceries, meals, prescriptions, and packages in neighborhoods and suburban areas.
Founded by Dave Ferguson and Jiajun Zhu, former principal engineers on Google's self-driving car project (now Waymo), Nuro has been among the leaders in obtaining regulatory approvals for driverless delivery. The company received the first-ever autonomous vehicle exemption from NHTSA and has partnered with major retailers including Walmart, Kroger, FedEx, and Domino's for commercial delivery services.
Nuro has raised over $2 billion in total funding including investment from SoftBank and Google. The company's latest vehicle generation features improved sensors, greater cargo capacity, and enhanced autonomy capabilities, with commercial operations in select Texas and California markets.
