Why I Built NexChron

I build AI systems for a living. Not chatbots — full operational systems that run inside real businesses, across 16 different industries, handling everything from lead qualification to document processing to competitive intelligence.

Every day, I read about AI. And every day, I'm frustrated.

The coverage falls into two buckets. The first is hype: breathless announcements about how AI will revolutionize everything, written by journalists who've never deployed an AI system into a live business environment. The second is technical: research papers and engineering blogs written by and for machine learning engineers, using vocabulary that excludes 99% of the people whose lives AI is actively reshaping.

Neither bucket serves the person I spend most of my time talking to: the business owner who knows AI matters but can't figure out what's real.

That person isn't stupid. They run a $30 million construction firm, or a regional hospital network, or a logistics company with 200 trucks. They can tell the difference between a good sales pitch and a real solution. But they can't tell the difference between a genuine AI breakthrough and a repackaged product demo — because nobody is explaining it to them in language that respects their intelligence without requiring a computer science degree.

The Gap

Here's what doesn't exist:

• A single publication that covers AI across every sector — not just tech, but healthcare, transportation, government, agriculture, finance, education, home life, and manufacturing
• Daily coverage that explains what changed today and what it means for your specific situation
• Original research and data produced by someone who actually implements AI, not someone who writes about it from the outside
• Honest tool reviews by someone who uses these tools in production, not someone who signed up for a free trial

That's the gap NexChron fills.

What NexChron Is

NexChron is a daily AI intelligence publication. Every morning, we publish the most important AI developments from the last 24 hours, explained in plain language, with sources you can verify and implications you can act on.

We cover 19 verticals — from business and government to home life and agriculture. Because AI doesn't stay in one lane. The same large language model technology that's drafting legal briefs is also helping farmers optimize irrigation and helping school districts personalize tutoring. If you only read about AI in one sector, you're missing the pattern.

Every article is written by me, Hector Herrera. I'm not an AI researcher. I'm not a journalist. I'm a builder — someone who designs and deploys AI systems for businesses, and who sees firsthand what works, what fails, and what the press releases leave out.

What NexChron Is Not

NexChron is not a hype machine. We don't write "AI will change everything" because that sentence means nothing. We write "here's specifically what changed and here's what it means for your business."

NexChron is not a product review site masquerading as journalism. When we review an AI tool, we use it. When we say it works, it works. When we say it doesn't, we explain why.

NexChron is not paywalled. AI intelligence should be accessible to everyone — the Fortune 500 CEO and the first-time founder should have access to the same information.

Why Now

We're at an inflection point. AI is no longer a technology story — it's a business story, a government story, a healthcare story, and a kitchen-table story. The decisions being made right now about how to use AI, how to regulate it, and how to live with it will shape the next decade.

Those decisions shouldn't be made with incomplete information. That's why NexChron exists.
