About Shield AI
Shield AI builds autonomous aircraft systems powered by Hivemind, an AI pilot that enables drones and jets to fly, navigate, and operate in contested environments without GPS, communications, or remote control. Founded by former Navy SEAL Brandon Tseng and his brother Ryan Tseng, Shield AI addresses the military's need for autonomous systems that can operate in GPS-denied and communication-jammed environments.
Hivemind has been deployed in combat by the US military, flying reconnaissance missions inside buildings and contested areas where human pilots cannot safely operate. The technology is designed to scale from small drones (V-BAT) to fighter jets (F-16), with the goal of an AI pilot that can fly any aircraft autonomously.
