Italy's AI Decree Takes Effect, Marking EU AI Act's First Full National Implementation

Italy became the first EU member state to fully implement the EU AI Act when its AI Decree took effect October 23 — the same week California issued AI kill switch orders and China proposed export controls on large AI models.
